Same Day Courier Service

Blackcat Couriers was established in January 2006 by Paul Collins and specialises in providing a same day delivery and collection service for urgent and time critical consignments throughout the UK. We aim to collect within the hour in Plymouth and surrounding areas and can transport items from a single envelope or small package, right up to larger loads of 3 pallets with a maximum total weight of 1250kg.

Carrying up to 3 pallets (max 1250kg total).

Since inception, Blackcat Couriers has gained many clients, both locally and nationally and today find that the largest proportion of our current work comes from repeat business and referrals - something which we feel is reassuring for our new customers. Consignments over the years have been many and varied and have come from the aerospace, aviation, marine, automotive, retail, pharmacetical, medical, petrochemical and legal sectors of industry.

When you call us, you will be able to speak directly with a real person and discuss your specific requirements. We understand that every client and every delivery is different and we will always listen and do our best to provide the exact service you require.

Early morning deliveries into central London.

A uniformed, security checked driver will collect from your home, business or specified address and then deliver to the destination, normally within just a few hours of your initial enquiry. As we deliver direct, we have eliminated any chance of your consignment becoming damaged or lost in a sorting office. Additionally, for your complete piece of mind, your personal driver can be contacted direct via their hands-free mobile phone for an instant progress update. All our vehicles are covered by the correct, courier vehicle insurance.

24hr service, delivering across the UK.

All deliveries are priced according to their weight, volume and delivery distance. The 'Blackcat Clear Pricing Policy' means we won't add on any hidden extras. Other than VAT, our quote will cover all possible charges & costs such as bridge and road tolls, parking fees, fuel, congestion charge, overnight accommodation, etc. that may be incurred during your delivery (Please note: maximum waiting time is 30 minutes without charge).

Unlike some companies, Blackcat Couriers will NEVER take your booking then sub-contract your delivery out to an unknown 'man & van' at a cheaper rate. We just don't feel this is ethical - if you've taken the trouble to study our website and then ask us to provide your transportation, we feel it's only right that it's Blackcat who handle your goods from the very first point of collection, right through to the final handover on delivery.

Delivery Vehicles

We take great pride in our vehicles and trailers - after all, they're a fundamental part of your delivery and our service. With this in mind, they are systematically serviced to provide reliability and regularly checked to ensure they remain smart & professional. As you will see, our clear signage across the bodywork allows our clients to know exactly who is collecting and delivering their time critical packages and consignments.

From May 2012, all Blackcat Courier deliveries will be completed in a vehicle meeting the latest Euro 5 emission standards and fitted with 'start-stop' technology, electronic cruise control and a diesel particulate filter - all modern features which help to reduce our fuel useage and minimise our impact on the environment.

All our vehicles are fitted with electronic satellite navigation for the fastest journey times and the latest hands-free communication facilities to enable contact whilst we're on the move.

Cheaper Options

When deciding on who to choose for your delivery, just ask yourself one question: What will be the consequences in terms of lost time and money if my delivery arrives late, damaged or doesn't arrive at all ?

As an example, if a second hand coffee table goes missing in a sorting office on its way across the country, then it's probably not the end of the world.

But if you need to ensure that a turbine component arrives at Heathrow by 11pm, so that a plane can fly to Miami with 300 passengers on board early the next morning, then the cost and knock-on effect of choosing the wrong courier could be immense...
